Mini convertible roof wont open at all.

Are you fixing your mini yourself. Just bought r52 cooper s convertible and roof wont go all way back. I have a 2005 mini cooper convertible and the top wont go down all the way. The button next to the open roof button flashes red on and off whilst i depress the open roof button not sure if this has relevance.

If you lift the bottom of the roof at the boot there are levers on either side to release the bottom edge of the roof you can make certain that the package shelf is seated correctly.
