Some styles of door knob will have another thin slot that requires a small screwdriver to free the cover from the door.
Off door handle.
Unscrew and pull off the door handle s cover plates.
Some lever handles have hexagonal shaped fasteners that require an allen wrench for removal.
Pull the rose cover off the knob body.
You should see a tiny slot or hole.
Step 4 insert a large flat wrench or putty knife between the trim panel and door and pop off the plastic retaining plugs.
