The non locking side of the door should have a small hole likely on the face of the knob.
Then just turn and twist until the screwdriver catches on a groove and the lock clicks open.
Push it straight into the hole.
There is a hole in the outside door knob.
This is designed as an emergency way to open interior doors with locks such as a bathroom or bedroom door.
If you keep it straight you should feel the lock on the other side of the door.
When this happens a small button inside the locking mechanism presses against a bar which in turn pops the lock to the unlocked or open position.
Once the clip is straight position the straight end inside the hole on the outside of the doorknob.
You re going to need a screwdriver with a skinny rod because the thicker rod won t be able to fit through the hole.
Keep pushing hard enough to move the resistance.
Then turn the door knob and shake the pin which should cause the lock to open.
Using minimal force push the clip into the hole until you hear a light click or pop sound.
How do you unlock a door with a hole in the knob.
You simply need a straight stiff.
A push hole lock features a button on the inside of the door.
If your bathroom door has a button lock from the inside and a little hole on the knob on the outside as seen in the above video then a screwdriver can certainly help you out.
Find something stiff that will slide into the hole.
Angle the card towards the frame.
Take the wire and insert it into the hole located in the center of the doorknob.
Determine the type of lock locks with a round hole in the knob on the opposite side of the locking mechanism usually.
Then swipe quickly downward.
When you feel the resistance move and hear a click or more of a clunk the door will be open.
To open a locked interior door with a screwdriver first push the screwdriver as far as you can into the hole on the doorknob.
At an inch or so you will feel resistance.
Inside is a small button that needs to be pushed to unlock the door.
To open a locked bathroom door from the outside place the point of a butter knife into the keyhole if it s a push button lock and turn the knife sideways.
If this doesn t work put a straightened out bobby pin into the lock.
Then push the tip of the paperclip or clothes hanger straight into the hole and try to keep it as straight as possible.
