Override Washing Machine Door Lock

Now turn on the washer and lift the lid door. A multimeter can help you to know if the switch and the solenoids in the assembly are working properly. It may just need a quick cleaning of the sensitive solenoids. The door lock switch assembly is located in the rim of the door.

Service door locks come with a tubular lock key tension washer and locking cam. Look for the lid lock switch on the underside of the top panel and where it fits into the appliance.
