In this project i am going to design a simple automatic door lock system using 8051 89c51 89c52 microcontroller 16 2 lcd 4 4 numeric keypad and a digital lock.

The microcontroller based door locker is an access control system that allows only authorized person to access a restricted area the system is fully controlled by the 8 bit microcontroller 8051 which has a 2kbytes of rom for the program memory. This controller requires a supply voltage of 5v dc. In our diy digital lock system 8051 89c51 89c52 is our intelligent unit. Password based door lock system using8051 microcontrollertraditional lock systems using mechanical lock and key mechanism are being replaced by newadvanced techniques of locking system.

Here at89c51 microcontroller is used and it is an 8 bit controller. It is a simple embedded system with input from the keyboard and the output being actuated accordingly. There are many types technologies available to secure our place like pir based security systems rfid based security system laser security alarms bio matrix systems etc. Again if another person arrives it will ask to enter the password.

These techniques are an integration of mechanical andelectronic devices and highly intelligent. The password is stored in the eprom so that we can change it at any time. This system demonstrates a password based door lock system using 8051 microcontroller wherein once the correct code or password is entered the door is opened and the concerned person is allowed access to the secured area. Electronic code lock using 8051 microcontorller security is a major concern in our day to day life and digital locks have become an important part of these security systems.

All the processing s will be done by 8051 microcontroller. The main concept behind this project is a door latch opening using a password entered through the keypad. Our digital code lock project is a simple electronic number lock system or an electronic combination lock using 8051 which has a preset 5 digit password stored inside the program the system collects 5 digit user input compares the user input with the preset password inside program and if the user input and stored password matches access will be granted by opening the door with the help of relay for a few seconds and closing it automatically after stipulated time. Password based door lock circuit design uses five major components a microcontroller a relay a dc motor a 4 3 matrix keypad and a lcd.
