Password Based Door Locking System Using 8051 Program

Password based door lock circuit design uses five major components a microcontroller a relay a dc motor a 4 3 matrix keypad and a lcd.

Here at89c51 microcontroller is used and it is an 8 bit controller. Predefined hard coded password is downloaded in the code. Our digital code lock project is a simple electronic number lock system or an electronic combination lock using 8051 which has a preset 5 digit password stored inside the program the system collects 5 digit user input compares the user input with the preset password inside program and if the user input and stored password matches access will be granted by opening the door with the help of relay for a few seconds and closing it automatically after stipulated time. This controller requires a supply voltage of 5v dc.

Again if another person arrives it will ask to enter the password. Password based door locking system. User can change this password anytime he she wish using a keypad. All the processing s will be done by 8051 microcontroller.

We type the password using keypad which is attached with the system. If we want to use 16 keys then we need 16 pin for connection to 89s52 but in multiplexing technique we need to use only 8 pins for interfacing 16 keys. It is a simple embedded system with input from the keyboard and the output being actuated accordingly. These techniques are an integration of mechanical and electronic devices and highly intelligent.

This system demonstrates a password based door lock system using 8051 microcontroller wherein once the correct code or password is entered the door is opened and the concerned person is allowed access to the secured area. If password does not match door remains closed and a message wrong password access denied is displayed on lcd.
